The robot is surprisingly accurate as many of the Tweets sound exactly like something Trump would say. It uses an artificial algorithm learning technique called deep learning, and, therefore, the first name in the handle "deep." While Drumpf is Trump's ancestral name before his great grandparents, change it to what it is today.
The scientist says that the bot works very similarly to the human brain. It studies past events and comes up with new knowledge based on the already known idea, or, in this case, Trump quotes. The robot maker says he picked Trump because he uses simple language and, therefore, able to predict what he will say next instantly.
"Trump's language tends to be more simplistic," so I figured that, as a modeling problem, he would be the most manageable candidate to study," said Bradley Hayes. "Much of my actual robotics research deals with these types of modeling techniques. I thought this would be a good way to learn more about some of the concepts, and have a little bit of fun in the process."
